Shanghai Book Fair (SBF), first held in 2004, is the earliest regional book fair in China. In 2025, it will celebrate its 22nd year and host its 21st edition.

Over more than two decades of meticulous development, the Shanghai Book Fair has resoundingly championed the theme "I Love Reading, I Love Life." Upholding the philosophy of "Rooted in Shanghai, Serving the Nation, Serving Readers," and through years of accumulated experience and brand building, it has gradually established its comprehensive positioning: "Dedicated to promoting urban reading, catering to the general public, focusing primarily on retail sales, while also encompassing functions such as publication exhibition and sales, bulk procurement for book orders, publishing industry information releases, high-level forums, new product launches, author seminars, and reading promotion."

As a significant cultural brand of Shanghai, the Shanghai Book Fair serves as a crucial bellwether guiding the publishing and distribution industry towards integrated development across the entire industry chain. It stands as one of China's most influential book exhibitions and is a key book fair project supported by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee (National Press and Publication Administration).
